Campaigning for the Northern Iowa Student Government general election starts today (Feb. 1). Voting will take place through MyUNIverse on Feb. 23-24.
Applicants who wish to have their name on the ballot must complete an information packet and petition. All applicants are required to meet with Election Commissioner Mary Jo Halder to receive an application.
Meetings with Election Commissioner Halder will take place this week on Feb. 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. (SIAC Meeting Room), and Feb. 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. (SIAC). Please contact Commissioner Halder at email@example.com if you would like to schedule an alternative meeting time.
Complete applications are due to the NISG office no later than Feb. 5. Applications received after this will not be accepted.
Matt Sienkiewicz will host "What's Under Kyle's Hat?: South Park, Anti-Semitism and the Jew Joke in Multicultural America" on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. in the Maucker Union Ballroom.
The follow-up panel discussion "Is there anything really wrong with offensive humor?" will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 12 p.m. in Baker Hall, Room 161.
