Deadline Extended for Dalai Lama Student Tickets

The deadline has been extended for students to exchange vouchers for the morning and/or afternoon event for His Holiness the Dalai Lama on May 18, 2010.  Students have until this Friday, April 30th to exchange the voucher they picked up for an actual ticket.  This will be the final opportunity to get a student complimentary ticket.  After April 30th, all remaining unclaimed vouchers will no longer be valid and seats will be sold.  Vouchers can be exchanged for tickets at the GBPAC or McLeod ticket offices.

Join renowned lecturer Doug Gentile as he presents "The Truth About Media Violence: What TV Won't Tell You" on April 21 at 7 PM in the Maucker Union Central Ballroom A. 

Gentile manages the Media Research Lab at ISU where he conducts research on the media's impact on children and adults. As the leader of this effort, he develops and conducts research projects designed to give parents and other caregivers the kind of information they need and want to make informed media choices for their children.

Gentile's lecture is sponsored by UNI's Center for Social and Behavioral Research and the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminology.
