Welcome to our new website!
October 12, 2008
Northern Iowa Student Government (NISG) has launched a new Web site to better communicate with UNI students. The Web site features an updated, more easy to navigate interface, improved services and new features. To see the new website, visit http://www.uni.edu/nisg/.
According to NISG President Pernell Cezar, the new NISG Web site is part of a larger focus of outreach towards the UNI student body. "When Clarence and I ran for office, we told students that we would be building tools for them so they can easily communicate with us. This new Web site is just one of those tools."
The new Web site also features the launch of NISG podcasts, a bi-weekly audio or video that addresses what is happening in NISG as well as other matters that directly affect students. Students can download and stream the podcasts, as well as subscribe to them in iTunes.
NISG has integrated a site-wide search into the Web site, allowing students to search for anything on the Web site including senator information, news articles, Panther Shuttle hours and more.
The launch of the NISG Web site is the first stage of a multiple stage project. "The new NISG Web site is a foundation that we can build upon in upcoming months, even years," says Brandon Neil, NISG director of public relations. "We have got some exciting modules that will be going live later this year."
