Mission Statement
 

The Muslim Students Association (MSA) at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) is a religious student organization whose purpose is to educate and increase the awareness of Islamic beliefs, values, customs, and culture across campus.

 
Objectives
 

The MSA at UNI aims to achieve two main objectives through a variety of activities on and off campus:

  1. Bring Muslim students and faculty of UNI together in order for them to help and educate each other more about their religion "ISLAM".
  2. Make Islam better understood by the UNI community and promote understanding and tolerance between Muslims and others through seminars and other activities.
 
History of MSA

The Muslim Students Association (MSA) at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) was established in 1996. It was mainly created to increase and make Islam better understood by the UNI community and to promote understanding between Muslims and non-Muslim through seminars and other activities. Each year, with the help of the University and the Muslim Community of Waterloo / Cedar Falls, the MSA is dedicated to participate and/or host different activities.
