1. Academics is stressed as a large part of sorority life with the Greek women's grade point average consistently above the all campus women's grade point average.

2. UNI’s Sorority Community is on the National Panhellenic Honor Roll.

3. Sororities are informed about health and personal development issues.  Each chapter is responsible through their international organizations for providing, at minimum, a quarterly educational program on a variety of social issues.

4. Sororities at UNI are very involved with Homecoming and Greek Week every year.

5. There is an unlimited amount of leadership opportunities available to all members.

6. Every sorority participates in community service and philanthropy events throughout the Cedar Falls/Waterloo community.

7. You will have sisters for life.

8. Many sorority women hold jobs or receive financial aid.  Some women are even able to earn scholarships through their chapter’s internationals.

9. Sorority women have a higher retention rate as well as graduation rate than non-greeks.

10. More than 280 women at the University of Northern Iowa remain active members of their sororities after graduation. These women move into the work force prepared for any challenges in life.
