My computer is powered to shut down (go into sleep mode) after about 10 minutes or less of inactivity.

 

When I leave the bathroom, I turn off the lights.

 

I’ve ridden the Panther Shuttle to class, the grocery store, or the mall.

 

I turn off the lights in my room when I leave during the day and at night.

 

My home has lots of south windows to capture the sun’s heat in the winter.

 

I turn off the water when I brush my teeth.

 

I unplug my cell phone charger when I’m not using it.  This saves energy.

 

I keep my windows shut when it’s cold out and leave my door open to get some air in my room.

 

I use my cell phone as an alarm clock to have one less appliance.

 

My roommate and I share a dorm refrigerator/

microwave/tv/coffee maker/hair dryer (some appliance)

 

I put plastic over my windows in the winter so they won’t let in cold air.

 

I don’t use a screen saver because I know it takes energy.
