Front Line Strategies for Dealing with Difficult People

Session description: The Division of Student Affairs’ Professional Development Committee invites you to attend “Front Line Strategies for Dealing with Difficult People” on Thursday, October 24, from 10-11 a.m., in the Center for Multicultural Education multipurpose room.  This session will be presented by Dean of Students Leslie Williams with support from panelists who will offer insights into finding productive strategies of handling difficult situations.   This session is directed toward front line staff and others who deal with difficult people in the workplace. 

Panelists will respond to actual scenarios of situations that have been difficult to handle.  If you have a particular scenario that was difficult to resolve, please email a brief description of the behavior to leslie.williams@uni.edu in advance of the session.  Panelists will discuss the possible ways of dealing with the problem in a professional manner.
