Pathfinders will provide important leadership to incoming students

Posted on Friday, June 8th, 2012

The UNI Jump Start Orientation Program is in its 14th year of providing new students from ethnically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds with a "jump start" on their first year at the university. Jump Start is an extended orientation program that provides students with an opportunity to make a smooth transition to the University.

Twelve UNI students have been selected for the 2012 Pathfinder staff; they will lead incoming freshmen participating in the UNI Jump Start program.  These student leaders (listed below) excelled in a highly competitive selection process. "They will bring a broad array of experiences to their work, along with an outstanding commitment to leading and mentoring new UNI students," said Kristin Woods, coordinator of new student programs.  The Pathfinder staff training begins in early August.
