UNI strengthens ties to Brazil
Terry Hogan and Fred Silva, recent graduate, represented UNI in a meeting with the Brazilian Ambassador to the United States, Mauro Vieira. The ambassador visited Iowa to explore potential partnership with Iowa Regents’ Institutions on Wednesday, May 18 in Des Moines. The meeting was hosted by the Board of Regents’ President, David Miles and Executive Director Bob Donley.
UNI currently has partnership agreements with five Brazilian Universities and partnership activities in business, geography, music and biological science. Currently, seven students from Brazil are enrolled at UNI with additional students enrolled in the Culture and Intensive English Program (CIEP).
