I G. - OUTLINE OF 200:128 ACTIVITIES

The PLS supervising teacher should provide each student with:

• A classroom schedule
• A student list
• A field experience evaluation form
• Other materials appropriate to the classroom

Throughout the experience, activities may include, but not be limited to, the following:

Active Observations
Focus on Classroom Environment
  • Become familiar with schedule
  • Learn students' names
  • Map the classroom
  • Begin observation log/daily journal with supervising teacher

Focus on Clinical Observations
  • Select techniques from the "Data Recording Techniques List"
  • Review "Focus Questions For Observing In The Field Experience"

Focus Observations on Classroom Management

Focus Observations on Motivation

Focus Observations on Teaching/Learning

Active Teaching
  • Initiate planning session with your supervising teacher
  • Develop lesson plan(s)
  • Present lesson(s) to your supervising teacher
  • Teach the lesson(s)
  • Evaluate lesson(s) with supervising teacher
  • Reflect on 200:128 Experience with supervising teacher
