Support from cooperating teachers and principals make student teaching in this Center a positive experience.   Placements are made in over 20 school districts primarily in rural settings with student enrollments of about 1,000.   The human relations and seminar, required classes with the student teaching semester, are conducted in person and also via e-mail, WebCT, and ICN.   This requires less travel time from student teachers but lets student teachers and university supervisors maintain a close connection.
