Whereas the Geography program was ordered to restructure last spring and has completed its work; and whereas these changes have been approved by the SBS Senate and the UCC,
Clearly indicate the action you wish the Senate to take relative to your petition, beginning with the phrase, "Therefore, be it resolved....":
Therefore be it resolved that the Senate approved the changes to the Geography program.

NOTE: At its Feb 25, 2013 meeting, the Senate approved changes to the BA in Geography, the BS in GIS, and the Minor in Geography. The Senate approved GEOG 4390/5390 GIS Programming at its Apr 8, 2013 meeting. Consideration of changes to the MA in Geography and the Certificate in GIS and Cartography were tabled on 2/25/13. They will be reviewed by the GCCC and the Grad Council in Fall 2013.
Final Action Taken:
Changes to BA in Geography, BS in GIS, and Minor in Geography approved 2/25/13; GEOG 4390/5390 GIS Programming approved 4/8/13; Diane Wallace and Coleen Wagner notified after both decisions.
