One of the weeks we played a fun Jeopardy-type game with our students that they really enjoyed. First, groups of students were asked the questions. If anyone could answer the question without using their worksheets from any previous activity, they were given 2 points. If they needed to use their worksheets, they only received 1 point. We did not penalize teams for incorrect answers. We added a lightning round and a 'Final Jeopardy' question, then gave prizes to the winning team. 40- 1 incorrect piece of information on the chart 30- 2-3 incorrect pieces of information on the chart 20- 4-8 incorrect pieces of information on the chart 10- 9-all incorrect pieces of information on the chart 0- incomplete chart 50- for completed graphs of Mission: Explore 0- incomplete graphs 50- for completion of chart 0- for not completing chart Voyage: Matchmaker 5- Correct ratios 3- Most ratios are correct 0- 0 correct ratios 5- If you found Bobo a planet that is most suitable to find a wife and tell why 3- Wrong planet or insufficient explanation 0- If you were unable to identify a planet and no explanation of why Voyage: Intelligence 20- Found planet that Bobo is comfortable on and an adequate explanation and proof of why he wouldn’t be comfortable on the others. 10- Found planet that Bobo is comfortable on and an inadequate explanation and proof of why he wouldn’t be comfortable on the others. 0- Unable to find planet that Bobo is comfortable on and no explanation or proof of why he wouldn’t be comfortable on the others. Voyage: Rainbow 50- 0 errors on information and adequate explanation for each question 40- 0 errors on information and most questions are answered adequately. 30- 1-2 errors on information and most questions are answered adequately. 20- 3-5 errors on information and most questions are answered adequately. 10- Attempted to complete voyage but got all wrong answers 0- no attempt at completing the voyage Page Created by Scott Connolly |
