pics4learning.com Your country, a newly acquired Roman Province, has commissioned a team to research Roman culture.  The Romans are considered great builders and city planners.   As a part of the team you will be sent to Rome to research their way of life.  Your research will include architectural innovations, road construction, and public baths. When you have completed your mission you will return to your province to improve your way of life with new architecture, roads and public baths.  Your team will oversee the construction of a new city in honor of the Emperor. In his honor you will build a new road to Rome using Roman construction techniques.   At the entrance of the city a triumphal arch will be constructed and named for the Emperor.  When the emperor visits your city he will also want to visit the bath house that you will have constructed. The Emperor has agreed to pay for his new city to show what a good emperor he is.  This will help your economy and improve employment for your country.  Many workers, skilled and unskilled, will be needed. There will be three lessons in this task.   For each lesson, you must select one of two roles. This is exciting for you and your partner.  If the Emperor is pleased you will have positions of honor within the Roman Empire.
