Neurology
Investigation

The day opens with you
at your desk sifting through the seemingly endless piles of daily cases
and reports. As you begin to find some order, you notice a thick folder
marked "Process Immediately." Some unexplainable curiosity takes over
and you delve right into the information without a second thought.
As already noted in the folder, the
victim was found to have some type
of substance in his body at the time of death. The substances have been
narrowed down to:
1. Heroin
2. Marijuana
3.
Cocaine
4. Ecstasy
Now, the case is being turned over to
you because of your expertise as
a forensic neurologist.
In your field of study, you specialize in the
examination of the nerves of the head and neck, muscle
strength/movement, balance, ambulation, and reflexes, as well as
sensation, memory,
speech, language, and other cognitive abilities. Therefore, your job is
to provide the functions of
the Central Nervous System parts, specifically the:
1. Cerebrum
2.
Medulla Oblongata
3.
Cerebellum
To do this, simply print and complete the Neurology Report Form by using the
websites on the resource page as a
supplement to your current
knowledge. The directions are as follows:
Brain Division:
Shade the section of the brain that corresponds with
the part listed within the box.
Function(s):
Provide the function(s) that this part of the brain
is responsible for doing.
Symptoms:
List symptoms and/or signs that result if
the brain section is not functioning properly.
Be as detailed as possible.
Good Luck!
