Welcome to Ancient Greece!  This is a place of rich culture and interesting people.  What do you picture Greek society to be like?  What would it feel like to be a citizen of Ancient Greece?  It may be or feel very different than what you think.  Ancient Greece was a different society than your own in many ways.  That does not mean that there are not connections to be made though.  Your job will be to research and discover interesting things about the way that Greek society was run and how people lived.  This will not be an easy task because the Ancient Greeks were very complex and did things that might seem strange to us today.  Your first task will be to explore Greek mythology.  Your second task will be to research a few other cultural topics of you choice.  Below are some guidelines for you to follow!

Visit the various sites provided to learn about different aspects of Ancient Greek culture. 
Step 3
Visit various sites to learn about Greek mythology.  You will then create a journal entry including the weather, mythology, and other aspects of Greek culture.  Your journal entry should be at least a page in length and include all of the components required above.
Step 4
Navigate back to the links on Greek mythology and read about a few of the Greek myths, heroes, and gods.  Then brainstorm and come up with your own heroic story or myth.  What is the story behind your hero?  What special powers does he or she possess?  Remember that a good story needs to include a main character, a plot, and a climax.
