HOW DO WE DO IT?
www.pics4learning.com
THE PROCESS-
You and
your partner will need to cover each of the natural disasters once
during these activities. For example, You can cover tornadoes for
the front page, but not for the safety. Use your disasters once
and only once.
Page 1: Front news, Big story on your disaster, a actual event.
For the front page of this mini newspaper you will need to be very in
depth with this disaster. You will need to look up an event that
actually happened.
Some key questions are:
-Where did this disaster happen?
-How was it related to weather?
-How much damage did it do?
-Any
fatalities/injuries
-Financial
burdens
-Eyewitness
interview/reports
These are just a few questions. Try to be creative and use as much
information that is needed to tell the story.

Page 4: Two Choices: Interview of a Person or Where to Live.
This page is where you choose interview a person
or choose where the best place is to live in any of these four
disasters. When
interviewing a real person, you must get permission to use his/her
name. Otherwise, you must make up a name. When interviewing someone,
the person must have seen the disaster or if
they have been through one. This page is open to about anything you can
come up with. If you choose the best place to live, you can find
this information on the website links.
