The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences
is dedicated to keeping current with technology in its classrooms
and computer labs.
The college has technologically integrated facilities
equipped with high-resolution video and state-of-the-art computer
systems.
The Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and
Criminology also has a working relationship with the Center
for Social and Behavioral Research (CSBR). This center conducts
original and applied social research for a range of public agencies
at the local, state and federal levels. Since its inception in 1967,
the CSBR has completed nearly 600 externally funded projects, each
focused on some aspect of human behavior and attitudes having public
policy implications.
In addition to its professional staff, qualified students are employed in the CSBR as interviewers and research assistants to gain direct experience in social research in its Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) facility and Analysis Lab. The CSBR is housed in a set of offices in Sabin Hall, with the main office at 221 Sabin.
