Master Sergeant Martin T. Weeks

Master Sergeant Weeks was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi and is a graduate of Oak Grove High school.  He entered the United States Army in November 1987 and completed Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training as an Infantryman at Fort Benning, Georgia.  Since that time his assignments include Bravo Company 1st Battalion (Airborne) 507th Infantry Basic Airborne Course, Fort Benning, GA; Charlie Company  3rd Battalion 325th Airborne Combat Team (ABCT),Vicenza, Italy; Bravo Company 2nd Battalion 60th Infantry Motorized, Fort Lewis, WA; Alpha Company 1st Battalion 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR), Fort Bragg, NC; United States Army Recruiting Command, Salt Lake Recruiting Battalion with duty in Rock Springs, WY; Alpha Company 3rd Battalion 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment (AIR), Fort Bragg, NC; Charlie Company 1st Battalion 506th Air Assault Infantry, Camp Greaves, Korea; Delta Company 3rd Battalion 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR), Fort Bragg, NC.  Master Sergeant Weeks is currently serving as the Senior Military Instructor for the University of Northern Iowa ROTC.

MSG Weeks has served in numerous Infantryman positions to include Platoon and Company Radio Telephone Operator (RTO), M60 Machine Gunner, Dragon Gunner, Company Armor, Rifle Team Leader, Company NBC NCO, Infantry Squad Leader, Recruiter, and Anti-Tank Platoon Leader and Platoon Sergeant during Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom.

MSG Weeks’ military education includes Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC), Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course (BNCOC), Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Course (ANCOC), U.S. Army Recruiting School,  82nd Airborne Jumpmaster School, Combat Life Saver Course, NBC School.  His civilian education consist of 33 college semester hours from Central Texas College.

Master Sergeant Weeks’ awards and decorations include: the Bronze Star (2nd OLC), the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (6th OLC), the Army Achievement Medal (6th OLC), the Army Good Conduct Medal (5th Award), the National Defense Service Ribbon, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the NCO Professional Development Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the Multinational Force and Observer Medal , the Army Valorous Unit Award, the Gold Recruiter Badge w/ 3 Sapphires Stars, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Expert Infantryman Badge, the Master Parachutist Badge, the Senior Parachutist Badge, the Parachutist Badge and the Drivers Badge.

MSG Weeks resides in Waterloo, Iowa with his wife Jennifer and two children Alicia and Zachary.
