A few reasons UNI is Just Right!
Students receive one-on-one attention from full-time faculty. Most classes are taught by faculty members, not graduate assistants.
Our liberal arts classes average just 32 students per class. Upper-division and specific-major classes average only 25 students per class.
More than 800 faculty members offer a wide range of perspectives and highly accessible personal assistance, often providing home numbers and e-mail addresses for questions any time.
MyUNIverse is a personalized gateway to university resources and the Web. It gives students direct access to grades, their U-bill, customized news and Web sites.
All residence hall rooms provide free, fast Internet service.

Full-time students receive free admission to all regular season athletic, TheatreUNI, and School of Music events through the Panther Pass and half price tickets to Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center events.
Real-world experiences with professors are the norm, not the exception. For example, the $16 million addition to McCollum Science Hall features state-of-the-art research labs, and education students have field experiences early in their major courses.
Student needs come first. For example, the world-class Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center schedules its season around the School of Music's student performances.
UNI offers a wide range of dining options, including a cyber cafe, lunches-to-go and restaurant-style dining at locations all across campus such as Piazza, Rialto, Biscotti's, 23rd Street Market and Maucker Union.
A safe campus is a top priority. UNI's Department of Public Safety offers regular defense classes, as well as the Mentors in Violence Prevention program for men. UNI has high-tech blue light emergency phones across campus.
