Parents

UNI Parents Association (UNIPA)

The UNI Parents Association (UNIPA) is an advocacy group for the university, representing students and their parents. It also functions in an advisory role to the university's administration, faculty and staff on matters pertaining to the academic and social experiences of UNI students.

All parents of current UNI students are automatically UNIPA members, however, the UNIPA advisory board is a core group of 25 to 30 families.

Being a member of the advisory board offers parents an opportunity to serve on a program committee, interact with university administrators, and network with other parents. The board meets twice a year and is associated with four programs:

UNIPA Scholarship Endowment

Legislative outreach

Educational & Student Services advisory committee

UNI ad hoc committee on parent communication.
