“My parents have greatly influenced my life by modeling good morals and encouraging me at every step. That is why it means a lot to me to receive a UNIPA Scholarship. Parents who don’t even know me are showing their support—that is such a selfless thing to do!  They all have kids attending UNI and understand the costs involved. They also know that the benefits of attending are amazing. I can’t wait to be in a position to give back to others,” says Amanda.

Amanda sparkles with enthusiasm as she describes her volunteer activities. She says, “In high school, I chaired the March of Dimes fund drive and organized many fundraising events. For two years I’ve been a Big Sister. I try to do some volunteer work each week. I’ve had a good life and want to share my good fortune with others.”

Always ready with an encouraging word Amanda says, “If you work hard you can do it, there is a scholarship for everyone.”
