Registration deadline for Homecoming office decorating competition

Register your individual office, front desk/reception area or entire office space for the Homecoming office decorating contest by Tuesday, Sept. 16, and compete for a free lunch. Professional Development Assignments

The application cover sheet and instructions for applying for a Professional Development Assignment (PDA) in fall 2015 and/or spring 2016 are available on the Graduate College website. The application deadline is 5 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 1. PDA awards are competitive and recipients are selected by a faculty committee. For more information, contact Shoshanna Coon at 273-2748.

Fall faculty meeting

The annual meeting of UNI faculty will take place from 3:30 to 5 p.m., Monday, Sept. 15, in Ballrooms A&B, MAU. President Ruud, interim provost Licari and faculty leaders will give remarks, and last year's faculty award winners will be recognized. A reception for new faculty members will precede the meeting from 3 to 3:30 p.m.

Breakout session presenters wanted

Presenters are needed for interactive, 45-minute breakout sessions for the 2014 Iowa TRiO Student Leadership Conference. This day-long conference will take place Wednesday, Oct. 1 at UNI. The theme is TRiO Leadership: Becoming Agents of Change and will focus on advocacy. To obtain an application, contact Colice Sanders. Applications are due by 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 12.

Rainbow Reception

The 5th annual Rainbow Reception will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 9, in the GBPAC. Food Network star to visit UNI Harvest Festival

UNI's annual Harvest Festival is from 3 to 5 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 4, at the Panther Plot. It will feature a special appearance and cooking demonstration by Amy Thielen from the Food Network.
