Chronic Disease Management Program

"Better Choices, Better Health" is available to UNI employees through the Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging. This is a six-week program for persons living with chronic health conditions and their caregivers. Attend an information session from 3 to 4 p.m., Thursday, March 6, in the Elm Room, MAU. UNI SHRM fundraiser - March 6

The UNI Society for Human Resource Management will host a fundraiser from 7 to 11 p.m., Thursday, March 6, at the Screaming Eagle Bar and Grill in Waterloo. There will be a raffle and an acoustic band. Light appetizers will be provided. Purchase tickets from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Feb. 27, in Maucker Union for $5 or at the door for $8.

Is your department or organization planning to host alumni during Homecoming 2014? Because Homecoming is early, Sept. 20, all alumni events must be promoted this spring and summer. Lecture on low-energy nuclear reactions

Tom Wind, DNR officer, will discuss Low Energy Nuclear Reactions (LENR) at 7 p.m., Monday, March 10, in the CEEE Auditorium. LENR allows controlled fusion of hydrogen into helium in small modular reactors that can fit on a tabletop.

As part of Women's History Month, the Feminist Action League will host a game show, "Women in History: What do you know?" at 7 p.m., Monday, March 10, in the State College Room, MAU. 'The Lord is Not on Trial Here Today'

There will be a screening and discussion of the film "The Lord is Not on Trial Here Today" at noon, Tuesday, March 4, and at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 6, in the CME. This film is the story of a mother's efforts to protect her son, which led to the case that established the separation of church and state in public schools.

Panther's Annual World Wide Scavenger Hunt (PAWWSH) is a new student organization that performs random acts of kindness throughout the Cedar Valley. The group will conduct a scavenger hunt for teams of up to 10 people March 6 through 10. The team that finds the most items and has the most points will win $1,000. Film discussion: Black Masculinities in Comics
