Assessment and Consultation Team for Students

The mission of the Assessment and Consultation Team (ACT) is to provide a coordinated analysis and response plan for the university's high-risk student critical incident cases within the framework of assuring a safe campus community.

Any member of the team may convene an emergency meeting(s) based on information he/she receives. Core tasks will include, but are not limited to,

  • Detailed reporting and descriptions, to the extent that is available

  • Assessment of information for criticality and/or threat

  • Consideration and recommendation of response actions

    • Consultation with appropriate parties as necessary

    • Documentation of information

  • Developing an action plan indicating parties responsible for follow up

  • Providing support to action plan as necessary

  • Notification of appropriate university officers and others as necessary

  • Convening follow-up meeting and closure of the case

The Bias Response Team

The purpose of the UNI Bias Response Team (BRT) is to coordinate the university’s response to incidents of bias. Bias incidents can create an unsafe environment or have a negative effect on an individual, group or the campus community.

Case Management Team

The team meets monthly to review employee issues that cross over the represented offices. Student concerns are addressed as they relate to faculty and staff issues. The team is administered by the Office of Compliance and Equity Management.

UNI Issues Group

The Issues Group meets weekly to discuss current or emerging issues related to the university and its students, faculty and staff. The meetings are very focused with an analysis of the facts and speculation on possible outcomes.

Safety from Natural Disasters, Fire, Etc.
