ResNet Policies

The following policies outline the terms of agreement for ResNet Internet access. This is a supplement to the University's Use of Computing Resources Policy.

Internet bandwidth on ResNet is a shared resource, so the more users utilizing this in a given time, the less bandwidth there is per user. During weekdays, ResNet bandwidth is limited between 7am and 6pm. On weeknights after 6pm and weekends, ResNet shares bandwidth with UNI's campus network, providing faster download speeds. Below is a graph of ResNet's current Internet usage.

Have you connected and went through the XpressConnect process in WiFi-UNI -Setup?

This wizard will configure your device to properly connect to WiFi-UNI.

Do you have the correct login information?

WiFi-UNI uses your CatID login. This login is the one used in computer labs. Please verify that you can login to a computer lab and test your login.

Have you tried different locations?

1. Select Wi-Fi settings in the setting menu.
2. Select WiFi-UNI
3. Choose the Forget option
4. Connect to WiFi-UNI Help and run XpressConnect

You may have an incorrect IP address in which case you would need to "Release/Renew" your IP address. Instructions on how to do this are found here.
