Yesterday, March 4, from 4:45pm until 5:30pm all ResNet devices lost Internet access. A core network router experienced a Denial of Service attack, which caused all connections to be temporarily discarded. Once the source of the problem was identified, ITS-Network Services was able to end the attack and identified preventative measures to stop this from happening again in the future. We apologize for any problems this may have caused.

In the past few weeks, many Internet applications have announced security flaws in their products, such as Adobe Flash and Oracle Java. Having old versions of this software on your computer cause it to be at risk of virus infection.
