OS X (Wired)

  1. From the Apple menu, select System Preferences.
  2. Click on Network under Internet & Network.

     
  3. Underneath the Network window, make sure that the Location is listed and checked as Automatic.

    Highlight Ethernet and click Advanced...

     

  4. In the Advanced... window, with TCP/IP selected, choose UsingDHCP in the Configure IPv4 section and make sure Off is selected in the Configure IPv6 section.

     
  5. Next, select the Ethernet tab and. In the Configure section choose Automatically

     
  6. Now choose OK in the lower right-hand corner and click Apply in the original network window. Your computer is now configured to connect to ResNet. You may now close out of system preferences.
  7. Continue to the final step to register for Internet access.
