Spring 2011 Registration Information
Registration for the Spring 2011 semester is just around the corner! Please review the Dates to Observe for information about the release of the Schedule of Classes, and to learn when registration will begin for each classification.
Schedule of Classes to Change
You will see many changes when Fall 2011 Schedule of Classes is released!
Expanded Search Capabilities
Search capabilities on the Schedule of Classes will be expanded, so that you can search not only by subject, course number, and course meeting time, but also by meeting day of the week, instructor, course title keywords, instruction mode, and course attribute (e.g., LAC category, honors, writing enhanced, etc.) just to name a few!
Academic Course Numbers to Change
As mentioned in a previous story, you will see many changes when the Fall 2011 Schedule of Classes is released. One of those changes will be new academic course numbers. For example, we have come to know 400 courses as Psychology courses, 120 courses as Accounting courses, and 210 courses as Elementary, Early Childhood, and Middle Level Education courses.
Student Spotlight: Victoria Timp
The Office of the Registrar is very proud of its student workers! Our students have had a variety of experiences both in, and out, of the classroom. Student Spotlight is an opportunity for our students to share their stories with you. In our first edition of the PAWSitive Impact, we are featuring Victoria Timp.
Graduation and Commencement
Commencement RSVP WebForm
In an effort to become an office with "greener" practices, and to best serve our students, we now offer a variety of services electronically. A new addition to our website is the Commencement RSVP, which is up and running for the Fall 2010 Commencement ceremony. This form must be filled out and submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2010.
Commencement Will Look a Bit Different This Year
Graduation is always such an exciting time! This year we will be implementing a few changes that we believe will make the day even more personal and memorable for you and your family and friends. Commencement will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in the McLeod Center. Following the ceremony, there will be a reception held on the Dome floor to recognize and congratulate the graduates and their family and friends.
Succeeding at UNI
Effective Study Strategies
Establishing a Schedule
Time is the most valuable resource that a student has. The value of establishing, and sticking to, a schedule cannot be emphasized enough. A good schedule, if properly managed, helps you manage your use of time in an effective manner.
Many Resources Available on Campus
Our office is dedicated to helping students succeed and to supporting and encouraging students to have the best educational experience possible. As a result, we want to highlight the multitude of resources that are available to you on campus! Proactively seeking out and utilizing these resources is an important component of your overall success here at UNI.
