- Official Signature: Per FERPA rules and regulations, we require an official signature prior to processing any request for sensitive information. Therefore, if you submit a Transcript Request Form without a signature, it will not be processed.
- Payment Method(s): Please do not send in cash or check with your Transcript Request. Instead, please wait until you have received a bill from the Office of Business Operations before sending your payment. Please note, this will not delay the delivery of your transcript. If you are a current student, you will have a charge added to your U-Bill, which can viewed through Student Center within MyUNIverse.
Debit/credit cards are not accepted at this time.
Transcript Processing Overview
Transcripts must be requested by the current/former student. However, if a transcript is going directly to a college or university for admission purposes, the request can be made by a parent or spouse.
All transcripts that are sent to an institution, etc. are official, bear the Registrar's signature, and are printed on secure paper. It is important to note that not all institutions will accept transcripts that have been in the student's possession. If this is the case, be sure to note in the "Special Instructions" section that you want the transcript(s) sent directly to the institution.
Transcripts that are instant pick- up from our office OR sent directly to the student will be stamped "ISSUED TO STUDENT." Some recipients may not accept transcripts with this stamp so it is recommended that you contact them and ask the recipient of their policy.
Transcripts or certificates will not be released until all delinquent accounts have been paid.
Notarized and Apostilled Transcripts
Some foreign countries may require special treatment of University documents. A notarized transcript is an official transcript that has been authenticated and notarized. The Office of the Registrar will provide - upon written request in the "Special Instructions" section of the Transcript Request Form - a notarized, authenticated transcript free of charge.
International institutions and organizations may also require an apostille. The Office of the Registrar is unable to apostille documents. Special arrangements for this must be made by the individual requesting the transcript with the Office of the Secretary of State.
