Prerequisite(s): written consent of instructor.  Field studies in various areas of Earth Science: geology, oceanography, paleontology, meteorology, and astronomy. To be preceded by seminars on proposed study area. May be repeated in different study area. Only 4 hours may be applied to the Earth Science minor.  Weekly seminars during second half-semester, followed by a field trip that will explore the Colorado River by visiting national parks and rafting through Cataract Canyon - May 10-22.  Cost will be between $695 and $750.  Non-refundable $100 deposit required.  Check with instructor for itinerary.
