200 EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY

 

 

 

ORIENTATION TO TEACHER EDUCATION: Students are REQUIRED to attend a one hour orientation session.  Times for these sessions are 4:00-5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20 or 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, or 7:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, in SEC 244/245.

Corequisite(s) 200:030.  Offered on credit/no credit basis only.  Students must arrange for ONE 4-hour block at ONE of the following time periods: 8:00-12:00 M, T, W, Th, F or 12:00-4:00 M, T, Th.  All majors must avoid 12:00-4:00 Wednesdays due to early releases in area schools every Wednesday.  All majors should avoid 12:00-4:00 p.m. Fridays due to frequent interruptions to regular Friday afternoon school schedules.

REGISTRATION REQUIRES ADMISSION TO TEACHER EDUCATION AND 2.50 CUMULATIVE GPA.

 

 

 

This four-week field experience meets daily at Price Laboratory School.  The minimum time requirement is one hour per day.  To maintain continuity in the experience, students should reserve the same time every day.  IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU PLAN TIME IN YOUR CLASS SCHEDULE TO ACCOMMODATE YOUR FIELD EXPERIENCE.  Early Childhood majors must reserve time between 7:30-11:30 a.m. or 3:30-9:30 p.m.  Elementary Education majors must reserve time between 8:15-11:15 a.m. or 12:00-3:00 p.m.  Middle School/Secondary Education majors must reserve time between 8:00-11:40 a.m. or 12:15-3:15 p.m. (HS class schedule: 8:00-8:52; 8:56-9:48; 9:52-10:44; 10:48-11:40; 12:15-1:23; 1:27-2:19; 2:23-3:15.)  Orientation is 3:30-5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22nd in Price Laboratory School Auditorium.  ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED.

 

 

 

STUDENTS NEEDING CREDIT IN 200:128 AND 200:148 SHOULD REGISTER FOR 4 HOURS OF CREDIT IN 200:148.  DO NOT REGISTER FOR 200:128.
