Voter Registration InformationThe 1998 Higher Education Act requires all postsecondary institutions to make a good faith effort to distribute voter registration information to all students. To that end we are providing the following information on how to register to vote. To register to vote in Iowa, go to – http://www.sos.state.ia.us/elections/voterreg for an Iowa registration guide and voter registration form. To register, print the voter registration form and mail to the Commissioner of Elections in the county where you wish to vote or to the following address:
If you need information about registering to vote in another state, please refer to the National Voter Registration site at – http://www.fec.gov/votregis/vr.htm You will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 or higher installed on your machine to print off registration material from this site. Iowa voter registration forms are also available in your UNI telephone directory, your fall schedule of classes booklet and in a US West telephone directory. Registration forms are also available at the Northern Iowa Student Government office and the Office of the Registrar, 227 Gilchrist Hall. |
