350:114g        Introduction to the School Library Media Program - 3 hrs.

 

Prerequisite: junior standing; written consent of program coordinator.  (Formerly 350:121g)  The portfolio created in this course becomes the condition for continuation in the School Library Media Studies program, and must be taken in the first semester.

 

 

 

This class will meet from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Saturday, June 7th and from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon Friday, August 1st.  The remainder of the class will be scheduled independently; students should have access to a web browser.  All students must register through Continuing Education Credit Programs, 1-800-772-1746 or 319-273-2504.  This class meets with Professors Stern and Krueger.

350:230          Library Automation Systems and Networks - 3 hrs.

 

Prerequisite or corequisite: 350:115.  This class meets 1:00-4:50 on T and 1:00-1:50 on Th with Professor Stern in LIB 123.  All students must register through Continuing Education Credit Programs, 1-800-772-1746 or 319-273-2504. 

 

 

 

350:250          Reference Services and Information Retrieval - 3 hrs.

 

Prerequisites:  350:115; written consent of instructor.  All students must register through Continuing Education Credit Programs, 1-800-772-1746 or 319-273-2504.   This class meets 8:00-9:20 on TTh + 9:30-11:30 on T with Professor Krueger in LIB 123.

 

 

 

 350:299         Research - 1-3 hrs.

 

Prerequisite:  350:295; written consent of instructor.  Must be taken during the semester when the study is completed and may be repeated.  Student must enroll in at least 1 credit hour during the semester the study is completed.  The instructor will be Professor Krueger.  All students must register through Continuing Education Credit Programs, 1-800-772-1746 or 319-273-2504.
