Fitness & Leisure Classes

NEW! Fit Class Pass

Pay one fee and attend any class (excluding Mindful Yoga and Private Boot Camp). Please bring a towel and clean, non-marking shoes. Pay by U-Bill, payroll deduct, credit card, or cash. Classes begin Monday, August 29. Register online or in WRC 101 beginning Aug, 15. Classes with low attendance after Sept. 19 may be cancelled. No refunds. Section 1.

Class Types


Cardio Classes

Cardio HIIT — 50 mins

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) uses short, intense cardio bursts with recovery periods for a fat-burning, cardio-blasting, and strength-building workout. This class is powerful, engaging, and calorie-burning!

Cycle TRX Fusion

Experience the best cardio conditioning with strength training in one class. The instructor will lead you through a 25-minute cycling workout and a 20-minute strength training routine using the TRX Suspension Trainer. TRX develops strength, power, flexibility, and core stability. Both cycling and TRX are for all fitness levels, accommodating for beginners and those looking for more of a challenge.

Cycle Blast — 50 mins

Experience a ride full of hills, sprints, and endurance intervals with energizing music and a motivating instructor. Cycle Blast will enhance your strength, stamina, and improve your overall physical health regardless of your fitness level! Towel and water bottle required.

Cycle and Core — 50 mins

Get 25 minutes of cycling and 25 minutes of core training in this two-for-one workout. Use a variety of equipment for toning to ensure a challenging, never boring, get-lean workout. Instructor will utilize TRX bands, BOSU balls, stability balls, and more for functional training at its best! Towel and water bottle required.

Kickboxing — 50 mins

Check out our new Box-Master Tower Systems. Kickboxing is an addictive workout combining shadow boxing, kickboxing, sports drills, and sparring in a party atmosphere. This is an interval-based workout for full-body toning! For all levels, this class is fun, exciting, and empowering.

Netflix Power Ride — 90 mins

Cycle and be entertained for the ultimate fun fitness class. Watch your favorite TV series, movie, or show while your instructor leads you through a variety of hills, sprints, and intervals to get a great workout! Enjoy the camaraderie and motivation to keep you pedaling. Stay for 90 minutes or just drop in. Towel and water bottle required.

Bachelor in Paradise will be in full swing to take you on a ride to paradise! Pedal along to ABC's top romantic reality show, The Bachelor! A trained instructor will take you through a variety of hills, sprints, and intervals during commercials and a steady pace during the show. Get motivated with the dramatic and intense scenes of your favorite show! Stay for 90 minutes or just drop in. Towel and water bottle required.

An effective combination of cardio, strength, and core exercises for a TOTAL body workout. Every muscle is engaged through 30 minutes of CARDIO, 30 minutes of STRENGTH, and 30 minutes of CORE. Various equipment is used to ensure a great workout!

R.I.P.P.E.D. — 50 mins

R.I.P.P.E.D. stands for Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics, Endurance and Diet. This class is taught by a certified instructor and is designed to target every muscle. The activity and focus will change every 6-9 minutes with the use of free weights, resistance bands and body weight. With motivating music and determination you can challenge your fitness levels and endurance!

Zumba Tone — 50 mins

Enjoy Zumba movements, rhythm, and coordination while toning arms, core, and lower body. Zumba toning sticks give your muscles a good challenge while you enjoy the music and energy of each class.

TRX (Total Body Resistance) — 50 mins

TRX Suspension Training uses a suspension trainer to leverage gravity and body weight to create exercises that can be scaled to reach any fitness or training goal. TRX develops strength, power, endurance, bal- ance, flexibility, and core stability. Regardless of your fitness level, TRX suspension training meets you where you are and takes you where you want to go. Voted best strength training class!

Mind & Body Classes

Pilates Core Challenge — 50 mins

Discover your body in a whole new way. Using a variety of equipment, the certified instructor will coach you through a complete core workout that will strengthen, stretch and tighten the abdominal, butt, arms, and back. Feel the burn but enjoy the stress-free environment.

Pilates TRX Fusion — 45 mins

This class combines the best of core training by using the principles of Pilates with the TRX Suspension Trainer. The TRX trainer allows you to leverage gravity and body weight to create exercises that can be scaled to reach any fitness level. Pilates tightens your abs, butt, core, and leaves you feeling stretched and relaxed. Strengthen your core and relax your mind in one class.

Mindful Yoga — 50 mins

Stress is inevitable, but it can be managed in healthy ways. This six-week course will take your yoga practice one step further by giving you the tools to discover the peace, relaxation and mindfulness that already exists inside of you. Through the use of education, yoga practice, breathwork, and guided meditation, you will learn ways to reduce stress. Registration limited. Steffany Kroeger is a certified yoga instructor with 200+ hours of Yoga Instructional Training. She has training in Healing Touch and Stress Reduction. She has completed Yoga Fit level 1, 2, and 3 certifications. She comes to UNI with over 2000 hours of practice and experience.

Yoga Synergy — 50 mins

Water Classes

Aqua Power — 50 mins

Take your workout to the water for extra calorie burning benefits. The instructor will lead you through a low impact, high energy cardio workout that will get your heart pounding and muscles moving with the extra resistance of the water. Enjoy the music and motivation using barbells and noodles. Experience the fun of water fitness!

Private Boot Camp — 45 mins

Get in shape boot camp style! Experience high-intensity, full body workouts using a variety of different techniques and equipment. Each class will be designed specifically for the participants involved. Register today with your friends. Class size limited.
