Business Incubation Program

The UNI Regional Business Center is host to the Cedar Valley's first business incubator! Business incubation nurtures young firms, helping them to survive and grow during the critical start-up period.

The UNI RBC houses 7 office suites dedicated to the purpose of providing young businesses with affordable rental rates, shared office services, access to equipment, and expandable space - all under one roof. Suites range from 100 to 250 square feet.


Incubator Suite What are the benefits of locating in the UNI RBC Incubator?
As a young business, locating in the RBC makes sense by allowing you to concentrate on building your business while keeping costs associated with space requirements and services low. In addition, the supportive infrastructure of the RBC with on-site advisors and a network of peers, allows you to put your best foot forward for your customers, partners, and investors.

Business Plan Package
Create your own business plan in just 30 days at the UNI RBC! This package is designed to assist new entrepreneurs in the development of a business plan. As a Business Plan Package tenant, you will be provided a furnished office suite and matched with one of our highly qualified business experts to assist you in evaluating the feasibility of your business concept. In addition, you will have day-to-day access to the RBC's leading edge technology and vast business development resources.

Services included in package:

  • A furnished 100 square foot suite complete with one desk, one office chair, two guest chairs, and one computer hard drive equipped with a small business software package with monitor, keyboard and mouse.
  • Easy but secured access to your suite twenty-four hours a day, seven-days a week.
  • Twice weekly consultation and mentoring from RBC experts.
  • One-hour of consultation time each with an accountant, attorney and insurance expert.
  • Access to Business Information Center and Resource Room.
  • High-speed Internet access.
  • Telephone receptionist service.
  • Interior signage.
  • Shared access to networked copiers/printers, color laser printer, computer scanner and fax.
  • Shared access to overhead projector, video recorder and monitor.
  • Shared access to hospitality area including an equipped kitchen.
  • Basic utilities of heating, cooling and electric.
  • Weekly janitorial cleaning of suite.
  • Shared access to training room for meetings and conferences. Based on availability.

Business Start-Up Package
Let the UNI RBC be the starting point in launching your new venture! This package is designed to assist entrepreneurs in launching a new business venture in 120 days. As a Business Start-Up Package tenant, you will be provided a furnished office suite to assemble the resources you need to insure a successful business launch - creating a business plan, securing financing, recruiting employees, etc. Plus, you will be matched with one of our business experts who will help guide you all the way to opening day. In addition, you will have day-to-day access to the RBC's leading edge technology and vast business development resources.

Services included in package:

  • A furnished 100 square foot suite complete with one desk, one office chair, two guest chairs, and one computer hard drive equipped with a small business software package with monitor, keyboard and mouse.

Grow your business at the UNI RBC! This package is designed to nurture young service oriented and/or technology based businesses helping them to survive and grow during their first two years, the critical start-up period. The Business Development Package offers entrepreneurs an environment to build relationships with a team of highly qualified business experts who will provide the technical expertise to help you grow your business. RBC Enterprise Suites provide young businesses flexibility in keeping cost associated with space requirements low. Business Development Package tenants may select from a 100 or 250 sq. ft. suite. In addition, you will have day-to-day access to the RBC's leading edge technology and vast business development resources.

Services included in package:

  • A furnished 100 square foot suite complete with one desk, one office chair, two guest chairs, and one computer hard drive equipped with a small business software package with monitor, keyboard and mouse.
  • Easy but secured access to your suite twenty-four hours a day, seven-days a week.
  • Onsite consultation and mentoring appointments with RBC experts.
  • Access to Business Information Center and Resource Room.
  • High-speed Internet access.
  • Telephone receptionist service.
