What
is business incubation?
Incubation nurtures young firms, helping them to survive and grow
during the critical start-up period. The UNI-RBC houses seven
office suites dedicated to the purpose of providing young businesses
with affordable rental rates, shared office services, access to
equipment, and expandable space - all under one roof. Suites in
the UNI-RBC range in size from 100 to 250 square feet.
What are the benefits of locating in the
UNI RBC/SBDC?
It
makes sense for a young business to locate in the UNI-RBC as an
accelerator program participant. Newcomers can concentrate on
building their business, while keeping overhead costs low. In
addition, the supportive infrastructure of the UNI-RBC with onsite
advisors and a network of peers, a new business can put its best
foot forward for customers, partners and investors.
Services
Include:
- Basic
utilities of heating, cooling and electric.
- A furnished
suite complete with one desk, one office chair, two guest chairs,
and one telephone.
- Easy, but
secured, access to the building twenty-four hours a day, seven-days
a week.
- Free onsite
consultation and mentoring from RBC staff and SCORE volunteers.
- Weekly
janitorial cleaning of suite.
- Shared
receptionist services during business hours, Monday through
Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Shared
access to overhead projector, video recorder and monitor.
- Discounted
admission to onsite training and workshops.
- Based on
availability, access to a shared training room for meetings
and conferences.
- Hospitality
area including equipped kitchen.
- High speed
internet access.
- Access to computer lab.
Services
available on a fee basis:
- Local/long-distance
telephone service.
- Shared
access to networked copier/printer, color laser printer, computer
scanner and fax.
