The Service
Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) is a network of retired business
men and women that volunteer their time and business expertise
to today's entrepreneurs. Known as the "Counselors to America's
Small Business," SCORE members come from every facet of the
business community - from financing to manufacturing, from marketing
to human resources.
Our local
SCORE chapter is conveniently located in the UNI Regional Business
Center. Contact us today to schedule
an appointment with a SCORE counselor.

Small
Business Administration
The U.S. Small
Business Administration (SBA) is an independent federal agency
established by Congress to assist, counsel, support and protect
the interest of small business concerns and to assist them in
their start-up and growth.
The SBA's
role in the UNI RBC is important to the center's success. They
provide financial support to both counseling organizations (SBDC
and SCORE), and in March 2001 they installed the first Business
Information Center (BIC) in the state of Iowa into the RBC
computer lab.
