Andrew
Van Fleet
DarningPixels,
Inc.
Waterloo, Iowa
Leveraging
his knowledge of web site development and graphic design, Andrew
Van Fleet founded DarningPixels, Inc. in 2001 to bring useful,
usable and desirable web sites to the Cedar Valley. Since then,
he's landed clients in the Twin Cities, Birmingham, Chicago, and
the local business community.
DarningPixels
offers full service graphic design, with print, logo, multimedia,
and web expertise. He caters to the small business community with
his flexibility and willingness to create anything from a single
design piece to an entire design package, including web sites,
logos, business cards, letterheads, and multimedia presentations.
Van Fleet graduated from UNI with a BA in Print Graphic Design
and a minor in Business, and has years of experience in the industry.
"DarningPixels
is a one stop graphic design shop for small to medium sized businesses.
We possess the capabilities to build powerful brand recognition
through creating all facets of graphic design materials for any
business, while maintaining a competitive edge through our web
site usability knowledge," said Andrew. "We have the
experience it takes to fluctuate between the client who needs
some hand-holding, to the ones that know exactly what they want."
Andrew has
benefited from his tenancy in the UNI Regional Business Center
Accelerator program. In addition to consulting from SBDC and SCORE
counselors, he takes part in an array of workshops including Fast
Trac and the entire Iowa Women's Enterprise Center technology
workshop series. "These programs are amazing. They provide
us with useful resources which helps us make the right business
decisions" stated Andrew.
DarningPixels'
philosophy on helping clients achieve their goals hinges on asking
clients the right questions and translating their answers into
a functional design. "The initial client meeting is actually
an interview. It's the designers chance to get into the mind of
the client. You have to, in order to get their vision out of their
head and into a design," said Andrew.
Praba Manivasager,
CEO of Renodis recently commented, "DarningPixels has helped
us put together the web site and many other materials that we
will use in our sales team. They've been instrumental in crisply
presenting our capabilities to the outside world. With little
direction, they come up with just the right stuff for us (we think
they're psychic!)."
