About Us

The University of Northern Iowa Regional Business Center (RBC) is a one-stop shop for Northeast Iowa entrepreneurs. The RBC is comprised of four main agencies: The UNI Small Business Development Center, the UNI John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center, SCORE, and the U.S. Small Business Administration.

As a Small Business Development Center, we offer technical, financial, and support services through classes, counseling, and a business resource library.

Our referral network comprises a variety of professional service providers, including accountants, attorneys, and bankers, as well as resources from the UNI Business and Community Services department.

Our facility in downtown Waterloo provides clients access to leading edge technology in a SBA Business Information Center (BIC), a 14-Picture of ribbon cuttingstation computer lab, a virtual conferencing facility, and office suites for business acceleration. We offer a variety of classes aimed at both pre-venture and existing business clients, as well as outreach to our rural communities.
