WOMEN AND THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM Presentation discusses speaker's co-authored textbook (2007) with same title. Book covers topics such as international victimization, women and restorative justice, substance abuse and addiction, pathways to crime, and feminist theory. Includes data rlevant to Latina vistims and offenders and data collected from surveys of women's prison wardens.
JAPANESE WOMEN TODAY: TRIUMPHS AND CHALLENGES.
The experiences of Japanese women including changes in women's status
and challenges currently facing Japanese women.
THE FEMALE OFFENDER.
Discussion regarding a national survey of wardens of women's prisons and
counseling female offenders and victims.
WOMEN AND THE IMPOSTOR SYNDROME.
Some women doubt their abilities despite objective evidence of their abilities.
They feel like an impostor in their job or leadership position and fear
being found out. The presentation will describe the syndrome, give reasons
for its existence, and discuss strategies to overcome it.
WOMEN IN PRISON.
Mistreatment of women in prison, including sexual abuse by officers. |
