UNI goes to the fair

CEDAR FALLS--The University of Northern Iowa's popular interactive booth will be at the Iowa State Fair, Aug. 10-20, in the east end of the Grandstand Building, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Those stopping by the booth will have a chance to participate in several interactive activities, including a virtual tour of campus. The latest addition is the opportunity for visitors to send virtual postcards featuring UNI campus scenes and users' own personal greetings. There will be daily drawings for athletic event passes, tickets to performances at the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center, and UNI paraphernalia.

More than 200 alumni, students, staff and friends of the university responded to a request to help staff the booth at the state fair. Areas represented by UNI staff include admissions, placement and career services, alumni relations, athletics, governmental relations, public relations, president's office, the Institute for Decision Making and UNI's Price Lab School.
