UNI president donates raise to university foundation
Robert Koob, president of the University of Northern Iowa, will donate (after taxes) his recent salary increase of approximately $31,000, to the university's foundation. It will be earmarked for the "Students First" campaign.
Directly after the February announcement of the 17 percent salary increase, Koob made the decision to return the increase to the university. "It has been my intention for months to donate not just this year's net raise, but each future raise that I receive while employed as president of UNI," said Koob.
His plan called for the donation to serve as a kickoff gift for the upcoming fall campus phase of the campaign.
Koob is traveling out of state and is unavailable.
