Fire at UNI fraternity house being investigated
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- A small fire broke out at the University of Northern Iowa's Kappa Sigma house, 2504 College St., late Saturday, July 7. According to UNI Public Safety officials, the fire started around 11 p.m. Investigators suspect a cigarette smoldering near the house caused the blaze.
No one was on the premises when the fire started, no one was injured, and no damage estimate has been released. Officials continue to investigate the incident.
