UNI Department of History announces 2001-2002 scholarship recipients

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa Department of History recently announced the recipients of the Department of History scholarships for 2001-2002.

Shana Schwake, junior history education major from Sumner, and Cacee Goddard, senior history education major from DeWitt, both received the Howard Thompson Memorial $1,000 scholarship. Steve M. McGrew, senior history major from Waverly, and Jaqueline Assman, junior history major from Panama, were both recipients of the John L. Eiklor $1,000 scholarship.

Kevin P. Kuker, junior secondary history education major from Tripoli, received the Charles Ray and Ada May Hoxic $1,000 scholarship. Adam Humes, junior history major from Clinton, Elizabeth Hayen, senior history major from Mallard; Matthew W. Degner, senior history major from Traer; Jason Chapman, senior history major from Kellogg; Kelli Jo Moran, junior history major from Cedar Rapids; and Holly Robinson, junior history education with an all Iowa social studies endorsement and elementary education major from Mechanicsville; all were recipients of the Leland Sage $1,000 scholarship.

UNI announces transfer student scholarship recipients

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa recently announced transfer student scholarship recipients for the 2001-2002 academic year.

The scholarships awarded were the Achievement Scholarship, which ranges from $200 to $1,000; the Multicultural Achievement and Talent Scholarship, which is awarded to minority students and varies from $200 to $1,500; the Theatre Activity Scholarship, which arranges from $500 to $3,116 (full tuition), and awarded to theatre arts majors; the Farmers Insurance Group Insurance and the Elsie Sindt Scholarship Fund.
