CEDAR FALLS, IA -- Jennifer Mishra has been named associate director of UNI's School of Music, graduate studies. Mishra, who has been with UNI since fall 2000, holds a B.M.E. from the University of Northern Colorado, an M.M.E. and a Ph.D. in music education from Kent State University. She serves on the editorial board for the "Journal of String Research," and is a board member for "MERLOT: Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching."

CEDAR FALLS -- The University of Northern Iowa Center for Energy & Environmental Education has announced the winners of its ninth annual Iowa Energy Poster Contest. The contest was open to students in grades one through six, with two winners selected from each grade level. Winners each received a trophy and a $100 savings bond.
