All-School Band Festival Thursday, April 4, at UNI's Price Laboratory School

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The Malcolm Price Laboratory School band program will present its annual All-School Band Concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 4, in Butzier Auditorium.

The concert will begin with the Northern University High School jazz band under the direction of Bill Scheidecker, a UNI graduate student in jazz studies from Hampton.

Other bands performing are the Price Laboratory School Fifth grade band, the Northern University Middle School intermediate and concert bands, and the Northern University High School concert band. The concert will conclude with a selection performed by all the band students in grades 5 through 12. All of the bands, except the jazz band, are directed by Leonard Upham, associate professor in the UNI department of teaching.

Admission is free.
