PLS mathletes compete at state; Rapp earns place on state team

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Four students at the University of Northern Iowa's Price Laboratory School competed in the state MATHCOUNTS competition in Des Moines March 15. Alexander Rapp, who placed third in the state in individual competition, will advance as part of the Iowa team, to the national competition in June in Chicago.

Other PLS team members were Jenny Hills, Atulya Iyengar and Sid Mitra.

Megan Balong, instructor in teaching at Price Lab, is the team's coach. She is assisted by volunteer coach, Atul Mitra, UNI associate professor of management.
