Roberta S. Tamres Sci-Fi Award competition announced by University of Northern Iowa English department; deadline March 22

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The Fourth Annual Roberta S. Tamres Sci-Fi Award competition, for the best science-fiction story, poem or essay by a University of Northern Iowa student, is being sponsored by UNI's Department of English Language & Literature.

The winning writer will receive $50 and his or her winning item will be published in the 2000 Inner Weather, UNI's literary magazine. Deadline for submissions is Wednesday, March 22. Entries should be labeled with name, address, phone number and e-mail address. Entries will not be returned.
