Chinese official seeks erosion-control advice from UNI

Jiang Yulin, Environmental Protection Division, China Academy of Transportation Sciences, ministry of communications, Beijing, China, will be at UNI Wed., Feb. 14 to visit the Native Roadside Vegetation Center. Jiang is in the United States for the International Erosion Control conference in Las Vegas, but made this side trip to learn more about integrated roadside vegetation management and erosion control practices in this country. UNI spotlights technology in the classroom

UNI instructors will share how they've used technology in their various courses during a Feb. 23 presentation, Spotlight on Educational Technology, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., in room 130 of Schindler Education Center. Presentations begin on the half hour. Featured will be instructors from several departments, including Philosophy and Religion, Continuing Education, and History.
